Here on the gorgeous Cayman Islands, where “summer” and “winter” are more alike than they are different, three wonderful signs let us know that summer is here:
It’s paradise here on the island right now (even more than usual!). Trees are bursting with ripe fruit, the dive conditions are excellent, the days are long, and across the island, kids are done with school and joyfully discovering the beauty of the natural world with outings to the Turtle Farm and Stingray City. When you stay at a Cayman Villas property – upon check-in your party will even get a free voucher to Turtle Farm and 20% off for all other guests in your group! (Another great perk as a guest of Cayman Villas this summer)
For visitors, the benefits of our Cayman summers include shorter waits at your favorite Cayman Island restaurants, an easier time booking tours and excursions (rather than scrambling to make advance reservations) and, best of all, lower nightly rates at on-island accommodations… like our own lovely Cayman Villas vacation rentals.
Thinking of bringing your family to the Cayman Islands this summer for a last-minute Caribbean getaway? You won’t regret it!
To make the most of our Cayman summer, be on the lookout for:
Perfect conditions for snorkeling and beginner diving. Our waters are warm, calm, and clear all year long…and that’s part of the reason we’re consistently named the best place in the world to learn to dive. But in summertime, the sea is true perfection. Whether you want to introduce your toddler to snorkeling or take your teen out for scuba diving lessons, the Caribbean waters will extend a warm, gentle welcome.
And at Cayman Villas, many of our stunning beachfront properties let you walk out the door, put on your snorkel, and head straight for the vibrant and beautiful barrier reef that brackets Grand Cayman! Contact us to find out which properties are in the best locations for exploring the Caribbean in your backyard.
Fruit stands and farmers markets. Take a drive on Grand Cayman and you’ll likely find street-side fruit stands bursting with mangoes, bananas, guavas and more exotic offerings like guinep, sweet sop, sour sop and more. These edible jewels of the Caymans are a great way to experience what makes our island special. If you don’t plan to have a car, the Camana Bay Farmers and Artisans Market (held every Wednesday) also often features vendors selling fresh fruit.
Family-friendly events. Year-round, the Caymans are the perfect vacation spot for kids and families. Not only are they among the Caribbean’s safest islands, they’re easy to navigate and full of activities created with families in mind. That’s especially true in summer!
