It is by no surprise that Eric Rupert and the Cayman Cookout are back in Grand Cayman for another year of scrumptious meals, delectable desserts, phenomenal cooking displays and fabulous parties all with famous celebrity chefs from around the globe.
The Cayman Cookout is held on of the most eclectic and beautiful destinations in the Caribbean, Grand Cayman, which celebrates a vast array of cultures and traditions that make a unique spot for foodies. With sand in your toes and a divine cocktail to sip on, there are forty events to chose from, all with their own exclusive experience and celebrity personality joining in to make this Cayman’s top culinary food festival.
Celeb Chefs On Deck
The culinary kings and queens will be hosting brunches and dinner parties under the stars, mingling with guests over canapés and wine, and providing intimate cooking experiences that can only be found at such a fabulous event. The celebrity chef line-up includes Eric Ripert, Jose Andres, Anthony Bourdain, Florian Bellanger, Tom Colicchio, Dean Fearing, Hubert Keller, Cindy Hutson, Ludo Lefebvre, Dean Max and Michael Mina.
Culinary Experts To Keep You On Your Toes
Every year this event has grown bigger and bigger with addition of some of cool and creative top culinary experts that bring sophistication and years of knowledge to an already superb event line-up. Bernard Sun, a top sommelier that was the recipient of the 2010 James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Wine Service award will be attending along with Ray Isle, executive wine editor of FOOD & WINE, and many other exciting personalities from the culinary world. This is a great time to pick their brain and ask those important questions about how to pair wine with food, select wine for your next dinner party or gain a deeper understanding of the importance of delicious food and outstanding drinks.
Events That Will Make Your Mouth Water
The list of events that makes up the Cayman Cookout are both mouthwatering and full of surprises, with an emphasis on highlighting local produce and Caribbean flare. Starting the week out is a beachside demonstration by Bernard Guillas, showcasing his love for seafood and world traveler, or The Rundown lunch with Anthony Bourdain, host of the world famous television series, “No Reservations.” Wine and spirits tasting, intimate cooking demonstrations by highly decorated and award winning chefs, mixology presentations, sailing trips, barbeques, sweet signature desserts and over-the-top brunches will fill the week with more magic that you can even imagine. Celebrity chefs Eric Rupert, Anthony Bourdain and Jose Andres will end with week judging the Bon Vivant Champagne Brunch Cookoff where two top local amateur chefs will face-off to win the Best Amateur Chef title.
