This quiet, cove-front bungalow is just across the way from Rum Point, one of Grand Cayman’s most popular areas for mingling, eating delicious grilled food, sipping cocktails, and chartering sailboats and other watercrafts to explore the calm North Sound.

Rum Cove’s charming features includes a veranda with colourful patio furniture overlooking soft white sand and tropical landscaping, picnic tables near the water (a great place for eating fresh seafood prepared in your well-equipped kitchen or on the charcoal grill), and an indulgent bedroom with a king-sized bed wrapped in luxurious, high-quality linens. If you want to eat inside, a two-person dining table gives a great view of your tropical surroundings through sliding glass doors.
The neighbourhood that surrounds Rum Cove, Cayman Kai, is exceptional—a quiet, largely residential area with lots of long-time locals and an intimate, laid back vibe. You’ll feel right at home, right away. Rent a beach cruiser bicycle and discover the quaint nooks and crannies of Cayman Kai. Or rent a boat, explore the clear, shallow waters of the north sound, and park it right outside your bungalow at the dock. Rum Cove is part of a three-house complex called Sand Point Cove, and your neighbours at Rum Sands and Rum Haven might just become your friends as your time in paradise passes.

Also close by, find the Kaibo Yacht Club, which offers BBQ and cocktails on the beach, plus fine dining at its gourmet restaurant “Upstairs”—a great place for a romantic night out during your trip.

Rum Point

Rum Point/Cayman Kai is the Caribbean’s answer to a North American cottage town. Characterized by its vacation-style homes, this part of the island has a kicked-back, vacation village-style vibe, even with plenty of permanent residents. Spot each of the homes’ fun, island-style names like ‘Kailypso’, displayed by the owners on cute roadside signs.
